Decisions, Decisions

Bit of an unstructured day overall. I got off to a slow start, as I wanted to finish the last few chapters of Monday’s book club novel before taking it back to the library tomorrow afternoon (it’s closed on Wednesdays). The print in the book is quite small, so this took longer than I had estimated. Then I got sidetracked with an online order which has gone astray - hate it when that happens!! It’s been delivered to a collection point, but I haven’t received an email or text with the barcode that the shop needs to scan before handing the parcel over. Now I’m having to chase the suppliers.

This afternoon I’ve been emptying another couple of boxes and deciding what to do with the contents. I don’t much like making decisions, and have therefore honed my procrastination skills into a fine art. It becomes very hard to resist the lure of Instagram/Facebook/Google (other platforms and search engines are available) or Bargain Hunt/Money For Nothing/Escape to the Country (other TV shows are also available) - please see my Extra. Things have been put away in various places and then pulled back out and put away somewhere else. Shoeboxes have been stacked and re-stacked to achieve the most logical fit. Items have been distilled down from three boxes into just one. Charity bags have been filled, emptied, re-triaged and filled again. Anyway, here’s the largest of my three new cupboards as it currently stands. No room for the proverbial cigarette paper in this or the one next to it, and the floor-to-ceiling shelves in the narrow one at the end are now nearly half-full.

And there’s still plenty more to do…..
