Due to yesterday’s travel disruption we were allowed to use our tickets today but had no seat reservation so when the platform number was announced there was a mad dash to find seats. Luckily we found two together and were entertained by a young boy and his baby brother for much of the long journey and time passed fairly quickly. It is an attractive journey for much of the way past Newcastle when there are glimpses of the sea. This photo was taken as we crossed the Royal Border Bridge at Berwick on Tweed where the river meets the sea. The border is actually 2.5 miles further north.
(If you are interested I have included some photos from the roof view yesterday)
