So in my blip yesterday I mentioned the inevitable hassle we expected awaiting us at the airport that evening. Little did I know that our flight was totally canceled due to weather, and that there were no seats on that same flight for 48 hours!
But a very nice young agent spent 40 minutes figuring out how to get us out of Syracuse to anywhere over night with connections home today. So we found ourselves flying east (the opposite direction we needed to go) to spend the night in Newark, NJ, so we could catch the 6 am flight out west.
At last we are home - and will have our first sleep in our own bed in 10 days.
And the view from the Newark airport looking over to NYC was a pleasant surprise.
