An early start to get Ruth to the dentist for root canal work. Seems like all went well. The staff at the special dental service here are outstanding. As I sat waiting for Ruth to come out the receptionist was dealing with a family with a very autistic young adult who also needed an interpreter to help his mum understand the paperwork. Good humoured, tirelessly helpful and enormously patient …. the world needs more people like her.

The rest of the day was unsurprisingly quiet as Ruth’s sedation slowly wore off. We had a review with someone from her main care agency and I spent the rest of the time on admin. Railway rules exam successfully passed and lots of N Wales AGS things sorted, including advertising our September event at Treborth. My turn to give the talk.
