Berlin

Breakfast with family, then trundle into town to checkout the archaeological museum showing the foundations of the church and school of Cölln, one of the original seeds of what is now the metropolis Berlin. The church had burned down and was rebuilt 4 times or so during its 800 year history. The ruins were finally blown up in the 1960s for ideological reasons. The bones from the churchyard are now housed in a new ossuary which is part of the museum. The place is really interesting and well worth a visit. Afterwards we continued to checkout the bronzes of San Casciano dei Bagni exhibition of Etruscan votives. The bronze statues are absolutely spectacular. A busy day of culture.
