Cat's Paw

Quick Change

Since I turned 66 back in February this year, I've been an eager user of my free bus pass. (Fortunately we're still blessed with a variety of regular daytime bus services in these parts.)

I've been very much helped in this endeavour by the truly invaluable bustimes.org website (accessed through my phone), which not only provides the official timetables, route maps and details of services from each and every bus stop in the area, but also - and this proved crucial today - provides 'real time' tracking of where each bus actually is at each moment of its journey.

Hence this picture today - a 'miniature landscape' I've often admired in passing, and hoped to photograph one day - beside the A275 at Offham (pronounced 'OAFham') just north of Lewes, captured after hopping off a 167 bus from Burgess Hill before crossing the road in time to catch a slightly late-running 121 back home to Newick.
