Marjorie's ramblings

View from my kitchen

My kitchen is upstairs and this is my view of Margret’s bungalow and front garden at lunchtime today. (You see the top of my high wall at the bottom of the image.)

Until then, there was a great screen of hazel which was not very inspiring. It’s nice now to see the lawn and the apple tree. It feels less closed in.

We are all going to have early and bumper crops of apples this year.

Clare came to cut my hair and I’m not quite scalped, but!

Dick came and did lots of work in the garden.

I went to meet my named GP and to ask advice about my knees. He did a pretty good examination with me sitting. (I prefer to examine knees with the patient on the bed, but even the consultant surgeon I saw did not bother with this!)

The good news is that he does not think I have torn the ac tendon or torn a cartilage, but he thinks there is arthritis behind the patella.

I had tried a cautious straight leg raise at home and regretted it. It’s still much too sore. Hmm.

I slept very well last night which helped.

I’ve allowed myself to go off diet for a few days and I’ve started knitting again. I really can’t sit around and do nothing!
