A man in love
Ian, next door, just adores old furniture. I went over to the old chapel today to do some photography for him.
This pedestal stand is 17th century. It has an intriguing wax seal on the back which might help to identify it.
As usual, Ian can see writing that I can't, but I had a good go at photographing it.
Here you see him looking intently at the front of the pedestal. I photographed front, back and sides at all angles!
Mark came over before he left for Macclesfield. He has done a mammoth job of disposing of all sorts of things to the various grandchildren and other family members. The house clearance people will take away and sort out the rest of the contents.
I had a check this afternoon and helped myself to some children's games (to add to my overflowing cupboard) and some vases and bits and pieces. It's sad to see the bungalow now but it will be lovely for the next resident.
We don't know when she will move in yet. I hope she likes apples, because the crop is large, both eaters and cookers. The pears are looking good too.
I managed to speak to my very lovely physio today. She can't see me for 3 weeks, but she gave me an exercise to do which seems to be helping. Watch this space.
