I had to make it
quick this morning - my daughter
needs my car today!

At 6:30 I was on my way to Riverside Park in the downtown. The Overlander Bridge is rather daunting these days with the redecking causing traffic delays. I approach it with trepidation. Luckily it was clear sailing this morning.

I parked at the east side of the park near the railway bridge. I caught a very long Canadian Pacific freight coming onto the bridge heading north. It always appear odd to see it roll into the edge of the park. I had to note the squeal of wheels on the track and wonder how those in nearby condos get a night's sleep.

I looked west to the Overlander Bridge and the confluence of the rivers.

What caught my attention was the city worker with the tanker truck watering the planters around the parks and city street. I must say they do a great job adding floral colour to the city. I caught the fellow in action near the stones marking historical water levels in the valley.

So, I'm home with some errands to run myself. The air quality is very good this morning, but we can expect some inflow from forest fires.
