Little berberis

In my front garden. A fairly new plant, I’m very pleased with it. Went to the GP early on, I need some more tests apparently. All fairly straightforward I think.
In the afternoon, my film friend H and I couldn’t find anything we wanted to see at the local multiplex we go to. It’s all Superman, Marvel stuff, and kids films for the summer holidays. So we went to a cafe and had a good catch up. She has just been constructively dismissed from her job of 24 years. They made her redundant, and got someone young in to do her job at £5k a year less. Completely against the law but she hasn’t the money or the energy to fight. No one spoke to her on her last day. This is a Christian college she works at :-(( She’s 65 so she has to get another job. She won’t get her pension for another 2 years. Luckily she’s a lovely person with lot of good friends to help her get through this spiteful experience.
