Bedraggled

This long tailed tit sat very still on the bird feeder by the kitchen window for quite a few seconds - unusual for them as they dash in and out in little gangs, chattering as they go.
The rain was just beginning to ease off but he was looking a bit bedraggled - although the pink feathers looked really quite pretty.
Dancefit and then monthly coffee morning in the pavilion this morning. This evening I've been invited to a garden party at the beautiful garden that was open to the public recently for the NGS. It's a "thank you" to all the helpers - about 40 of them helped out for several days before and on the 3 open days. I was NOT one of them as I was on holiday until the Sunday open day, and then I went as a paying visitor. However they know that I would have helped if I'd been there, so I've been invited too which is very nice - especially as the sun has now come out (almost 5pm). 
I'll need to walk Ziggy before I go hence my earlier-than-usual post.
