White Astilbe called Happy Day.
The Feast Day of Saint Jean - Baptiste Vianney.
Born 8th May 1786. Dadilly, France. Died 4th August 1859. Ars, France.
Status: Priest.
Patron Saint of Confessors, Parish Priests.
Archdiocese of Dubuque and Kansas City.
Today is earmarked here in Rishton by strong, gusty wind and earlier there was heavy downpours of rain. The garden has been well watered as plants have been swirled about in the gusts.
The new white Astilbe called Happy Day was delivered this afternoon by the Royal Mail postman. It was well packed in a recyclable cardboard box and cushioned with brown paper. I think I should do some papier mache, as I have a good amount of brown paper stored up in the garage. Some bowls or vases built around a strong plastic container could be useful.
I have been indoors mostly to avoid the rain and wind.
I watched a film and did some washing and drying.
I took a few photos of trees and blackberries.
I saw a Red Admiral butterfly in the garden.
Thank you for dropping by today blip friends and enjoy a good Monday.
