Nectarines

The 18th Sunday in the Christian Church Calendar.

The Feast Day of Saint Lydia Purpuraria.
Born 1st century, in Greece.
Died : not known.
She sold purple cloth and dye, both of which were greatly valued at that time.
It is believed she was the first known convert to Christianity from the teachings of St Paul.
The Orthodox Church granted her the special title of "equal to the apostles. "


Nectarines are one of my favourite fruit and Tesco have been stocking some beautiful Nectarines recently.

Today is 20c and it has rained quite heavily for nearly the whole morning.
It is much needed after much dry weather. The lawns look quenched so I am grateful for that.

I wonder how the weather will unfold during August.

I watched 10am Mass from Shirley online. Two young children were Baptised and they were wonderfully well behaved.
