Canon Street

Winchester 

We started walking down the River Itchen, there were two sets of ducklings swimming against the flow of the river. In to the ruins Wolvesey Castle (heard but couldn't see a green woodpecker) then on to College Street. A look in P & G Wells stationers then round to Canon Street. A quick look in at the Hampshire regiment museum before heading down to the Cathedral. 

Lunch outside just in time for the rain, so we had to relocate tables mid-meal. Spent all afternoon in the cathedral, enjoying a guided tour and then a look at the exhibitions. 

As we left the cathedral a particularly heavy shower came over, so we ducked into the Eclipse Inn for shelter, and a half pint while deciding our next move. Piecaramba for dinner - really good pies set in a comic/film/computer game theme.
