New hat. Old weather.

Pretty much the first outing for my new cap. I’ve had it a few weeks but didn’t really want to wear it until the Lions series started, (yesterday). I have at least one item of memorabilia from each line to during the last 20 years.

A friend came from home to discuss a job. He plays rugby with our younger son. We’ve had previous conversations etc, and I’ve been thinking things over for weeks. He’s agreed to do it soon, but it’ll involve several trades. So not just his diary. And during the course of the meeting we increased the scope of the work, (and cost!).

Afterwards we did some more decorating indoors, preparing and painting in the dining area. Wall painted, good finish achieved. So, we went for a walk in town and a coffee…. that’s when the rain came. A lot of folks were caught out - we observed from Cafe Nero.

A dry evening. We drove home after packing up the decorating stuff at our other place. It was a quiet journey.
