Fairy Dell
Sophie has done a sterling job of keeping the bracken down and digging in the Drying Ground whilst we were away. I popped up there whilst the chicken was roasting this afternoon and noted that some of the flowerbeds are now going over but those which were planted late are still coming and flowering. The Fairy Dell is the Children's patch, created on our last Community Day. Sophie has varnished all of the painted rocks which has brought out their colours. The seeds we threw down after the rain before we left for Scotland, are beginning to show too. I shall have to put in some time after Storm Floris has gone through over the next couple of days. Let's hope the fairy houses don't get blown away!
The remainder of the day was put over to those things which have to be done on return from holiday: unpacking bags and putting away; uploading photos; paying bills; watering plants; seeing neighbours; for Tony harvesting veg.
