The Frivolous Four....

Also the Famished Four on our way out for dinner to celebrate our wedding Anniversaries.  But before that...

Agnes and Adrian came for lunch, after which D and A headed off to play golf.  Agnes and I enjoyed the lovely sunshine from the garden room, planning to crochet as we blethered but we're both between projects at the moment so had to make do with just blethering instead.  It was no hardship :-)

The guys returned from golf both happy with their efforts.  A quick change and freshen up and we were all ready to head out for dinner.  Our table was booked for 7.30pm but we headed off just after 7.00pm to enjoy a wee aperitif in the lovely bar of the hotel.  Of course I insisted on the obligatory selfies (which everyone moans about but then they're always glad to have.  Honestly, if it wasn't for me taking snaps, there would be no pictorial record of the lives of most our family and friends!) before rather than after, so at least I had a publishable blip!  :-)

We had a fantastic evening.  The food was amazing.  The new Head Chef and the new menu are winners.  We were in the garden room restaurant the sun shone, the conversation and the laughter flowed and we had great fun reminiscing about both our wedding days.  I always love how we all remember different aspects of the same experience, tiny details, conversations, scenarios, that makes reliving shared memories fresh, funny and at times, just little emotional.  In a good way :-)

It was dark by the time we left the hotel to walk home.  A sign that the nights are drawing in!  

Not too late a night. I think we were all tucked up by 1.00am :-))
