Buff-tailed bumblebee

Tired after yesterday and with a lot to do in the garden I didn't get my walk this morning.  So I'm afraid it's another bee (a buff-tailed bumble bee this time, shot against one of my larger plant pots).  The flowers it's feeding on are marjoram, as I'm sure you will have guessed.  

A lot of the day's been grey but we have had some sunshine and a little more rain.  The grass, though, is still very sere and brown.  There are patches I'm sure I'm going to have to re-seed.  However, the good news is that the slow worms I thought last year had completely disappeared are in fact still with us.  A new hole has just been dug by them in the top bed.  Well that should keep the slugs and snails at bay!
