Bookends

3rd of the month today, so it's the monthly 'Book Festival' at the Victory Hall in Benderloch. A rather grandiose title, but it's basically the monthly get together by the local 'Bookends' group. It's a very informal set-up - you can take books and make a donation, take books in and swap them for others, sit down and read, chat to friends, whatever. 

I took 15 books in, brought 2 books out, had a cup of coffee and did a great deal of talking!

Next month sounds good - we have James Knox Whittet, a gardening author speaking to the group.

Home to do some pruning of the climbers on the fallen fence behind the greenhouse before I find a fencer to reinstate the broken posts.  Met the new owners of the adjacent garden yesterday and they were happy for me to go in any time to see what needs doing.
