Tomatoes!

The farmers’ market was in full high season today. Everybody had heirloom tomatoes, beautiful basil, eggplants and peppers, peaches and strawberries, corn and green beans. And 27 kinds of lettuce! We got one beach and staggered home with all that plus a hand thrown bowl with sunflowers on it.

Last year when we got home from NickM’s Cove we got a text from Teri informing us that she had just tested positive for Covid. This year it was Mark’s turn. That’s one tradition we could all live without. We dodged the bullet last year, so we’re hoping we do the same this year.

Jim and Dana gave John one of those digital picture frames so I’ve been loading it up with photos this morning. The quilt is beckoning, but Tim brought Walter the dog up for a visit. He and Spike have exchanged toys so Spike is walking around with Walter’s tiny ball in his mouth and Walter is chewing on the Kong. It’s only a matter of time before they start passing it back and forth.

We’ll soon be taking a bit of a break from our diet because Tim is making ribs.
Normal service will return soon….
