World Championship Hen Racing

English eccentricity at its very finest!
The World Championship of Hen Racing held annually next to the Barley Mow pub in the small Derbyshire village of Bonsall. Hens have to "race" a short distance in the carpark and no incentives or encouraging boots up the backside are allowed. Hens which get involved in fights are disqualified and the whole thing is watched over and compered by the amazing landlady of the pub, Colette.
In reality, it is a thinly veiled cover for a gigantic booze up and as such is a brilliant example of a community event.
