Ambleside Games

Seven of us from the camera club visited the Ambleside games today - the weather was kind to us, and we all had a cracking time. Sports included grass track cycle racing (Fixed wheel, no brakes), fell races, track (grass) races, and the Cumberland wrestling world championships. (Extra)

I did like the grit and determination on the lead girls face in this photo, the track was on a slight slope, and this was at the top of the climb. Racers looked a little more relaxed at the bottom of the hill at the other end.
