ROSE OF SHARON - BLUE BIRD

Otherwise known as Hibuscus Syriacus I believe!!!??

Left Hubby and Garron at home this morning to do their chores whilst I swanned off to Beetham Nurseries.

A lot of traffic on the roads. The A590 heading out of Grange was nose to tail for a section of it but then thinned out well.  After that on the A6 the road was reasonably quiet.

Enjoyed a good browse without having to worrying about where everyone was, then had a really fabulous cappuccino and some sourdough toast in the Wood Fired Kitchen rather than the cafe.  Really enjoyed relaxing in there, readig my book and people watching.

Then a final browse and shop.  Not much, as the prices there can be expensive, but there are reasonable things too if you look.

Going home up the A6, busier but not too bad, and A590 heading towards Newby Bridge way was OK, busy but OK, but the opposite direction, heading towards the M6 was at a standstill and there was no reason, just sheer volume of traffic and quite a lot of caravans.  So need to stay home now I think.

I saw this hibiscs today and just loved it, thought the colour was gorgeous.  According to Google iit is called The Blue Bird, even though it's purple!!!!  So it will be my entry for Flower Friday, with very many thanks to BikerBear for hosting.

That is all from me for today, do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
