Today is the third birthday of Hunter and Holly our brother and sister rescued cats.

It is a joy and privilege to care for them.

They came to us as wild and frightened ababdoned older kittens, but over time, grown to trust us and see that where we live, is their home too.

They are quite different in their spirit and outlook.

Holly is like an old Aunty type of personality. She suffers Hunter being more feisty and energetic.

She protects her space by growling effectively at Hunter if he gets too playful and they have a respect for each other.

Jasper from our Close, visits for loving kindness and food, but he is not best friends with Hunter after he chased Hunter into next door's garden. The tom cat rivalry is difficult to cope with, so I try to keep peace and feed Jasper in the garden or utility room if it is rainy weather.

The weather is 19c indoors and the rain has been light.
