Rain drops on the Lady's Mantle.

The Feast Day of Saint Peter Chrysologus. The Doctor of Homilies.
Born circa 406, Imola, Italy.
Died 31st July 450, Imola, Italy.
Status : Bishop, Doctor of the Church.
Patron Saint of burying the dead. Invoked for protection against hail.

Chrysologus translates from the Greek language as meaning golden worded, because he delivered eloquent concise but excellent theological sermons, with common sense ideas, warmth and tolerance.

Prayers for all those effected by the 8.8 earthquake in Russia and the instability caused by the tsunami and aftermath in the Pacific area.

After a cloudy morning with every shade of grey cloud, it rained here in Rishton at about 1pm. It is 21c and remains close.

The Lady's Mantle leaves always look worthy of a photo after the rain. So blip sorted.

I have been out for a couple of walks in the neighbourhood and I had a surprise encounter and chat with Betty and Norman who sold us this house.

I am reading three books. I give a portion of time to each between doing the housework. One is The Glories of Mary, another is The Secret Garden from where the film was inspired, and The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.
Next week Father and some young children are going on a week of pilgrimage to Walsingham for the annual Youth Pilgrimage. They will be camping so I hope the weather is merciful to them.

I hope you enjoy today and thanks blip friends for visiting my site.
