The assualt on the remaining Munros continues.
Up at 0630 ( a full bunkhouse will do that to you, and slightly ahead of schedule, we all (me, Her, Loki and Chris fae Aberdeenshire) set off out on the quest to bag Luinne Bhein and Meall Bhudhie.
Clag was hanging over the surrounding hills; but at sea level it was dry and - bright enough, I suppose.
It's a fairly straightforward land rover track to follow; although Loki did his best to scupper the walk by falling through the cattle grid....
Initially we missed out right turn but only 1/2 a km past it so not a great disaster.
She went off home at this point and Chris and I carried on up the decent path along the glen south of Meall Bhuidhe. Once at the col, it was a sharp left turn and the gradient 'ramped up somewhat' (got bloody steep!)
his is Chris. He's a minister fae just south of Aberdeen (born again Christian type thing)
He was on the same ferry across from Mallaig last night. He's planning on doing the same Munros as me. He's got 10 left...well, only 8 now.
We set off at 7.30 this morning. We made it back at 1830; foot sore (me) and cramping leg muscles ( him)
In between times we chatted, navigated, cursed the weather, ascending, descended, ascended again, and plodded on, on, on, on.
A hard fought couple of Munros, followed by sausage and beans and a cold beer.
Proper photo in due course. Proper detail in due course. No Ladhar Bheinn tomorrow. My feet won't allow it.
Good night, all
