Eye to Eye

Young Golden Eagle on Nest.

I really think it might be the last time I see this young Eagle, she/he was very active on the nest today and certainly looks as big as an adult now. However they stay on the nest for 10 - 14 weeks so I’ll keep going as my first sighting of the parents was only on 10th June.
Because people who have high alpine chalets not far from this cliff have noticed me going there, I have been sending photos to two of them. Today a couple who can see the nest from their window, invited me for lunch. In the mountains people appreciate the fact that you love their mountains too. They were very happy to show me an eagle on that nest site in 2014, 11 years since it was used. It would be interesting to know if it is the same couple or their offspring from then. Eagles can live between 20 - 30 years in the wild.
Extra to show more of the cliff.
