Life's Little Moments

Eunice

Over the last months, I've come to know some of the "regulars" at the rally and obedience trials.  When I get the run-list before the show I always look to see who I know and who will be new to me; and when I saw Eunice on the schedule I just had to smile.  She is the result of an accidental breeding between a Bassett Hound and Poodle and she is a bundle of cuteness and personality.  Her body is all Bassett but the wiry coat is compliments of the poodle.  Her owner is also a delight and we had a chance to chat a bit during the lunch break, which included me getting some cuddles with Eunice.

It was a shorter day than usual for obedience trials because there were quite a few scratches and cancellations.  Still, I managed to come home with over 2,000 images.  So much for that self-restraint I've been working on!  I continue to find the fluorescent lighting in the arena quite challenging but every time I shoot an event, it gives me a chance to try different things to mitigate the horrid lighting.

I stayed up until nearly 10 last night, trying to get through all the images but finally gave up when I could scarcely keep my eyes open.  I finished the first pass this morning and kind of randomly picked this shot of Eunice in a perfect "down."  Back blipping Monday morning.

We are headed up to 90 F today (Monday) and continuing through Wednesday, which will give me plenty of time to finish editing and get the gallery posted online.

I'll be back later with today's blip!
