Out and About

Sr Fergus

We were drawn to Glamis on our route from Aberdeen to Edinburgh because Google maps was advertising an open café.  We'd disembarked the ferry at 7 in the morning and were searching for breakfast.
The cafe was not open but we explored sleepy Glamis anyway.  We found St Fergus' Well and the church built in 1742 on top of the original St Fergus church dating back to 1242.  The well in extras is said to be where 8th century St Fergus baptised converts while he was living in a cave nearby.
