MONO MONDAY - WATER...

...but in a different form!

I’m not usually squeamish about meat or fish, but must confess that I didn’t like the look of these salmon heads we saw at Morrison’s when we went shopping this morning.  I had already taken a shot of some ice in a tray, to the astonishment of the man on the fish counter, who probably thought “what is that silly old woman doing taken a photograph of ice?”  However, when I said to him that no doubt he thought it was strange, his response was “Whatever floats your boat”!

Of course, I then explained about Blip and MM saying the theme for today was water, at which he nodded and said “Ah, I see!”  Not sure he did, but we then had a conversation with me asking him whoever would buy just salmon heads.  He told us that they were one of their best sellers, and made great stock, not that I have ever made fish stock - as did marrow bones.  We then had a conversation about kidneys and liver - hope I’m not upsetting any vegetarians or vegans - but I am just noting our conversation with a very pleasant man at Morrison’s.

So this is my contribution to Mono Monday - and after all, ice is just water in its solid form!
