Summer holiday 2025 day 1-1

We didn't start off quite as early as intended to get over to Bennar today. There was a lot of car-tetris for Louisa to get everything into the car for our camping trip (easier than me moaning about how much stuff we're taking) and we decided to have lunch and wait for Aaron before we left.

It was the usual journey to Barmouth then another 10-15 minutes up the coast to find the campsite. The tent went up quickly enough, much to Owen's satisfaction as he was eager to get inside, then it was sorting out and exploring before going out to get some fish & chips. That was an ordeal in itself and we found Billy's a bit by chance, ordered our fish& chips, and headed back to the campsite to eat*.

The campsite was advertised with a path to the beach that we tried to find after dinner*. Owen wasn't happy that it was a pebbly beach but the sea was in at the time and there's supposed to be sand below the pebbles. Not that we were going to do much at half past 9 at night. Back to the campsite to get a good night's sleep(?) in the tent.
