From Whitby to Redcar

High, steep climbs. Bert, with his assist motor, finished before me. I had to push my bike up again. No, no assist motor for me. I don't want that. My own fault, tough luck, then. I wanted to give up at one point, but I managed to persevere.

I enjoyed Saltburn by the Sea. The cheerful relaxation was palpable. We saw the clifflift, which we became familiar with 17 years ago. Now, with our bikes in hand, we stroll further to enjoy coffee and toast on the small terrace of the Beach Hut Café and watch the activities on the beach.
The hill just after Saltburn was not too bad to get up and we cycled easily along the sea front to Redcar.

The campsite was close to the sea, where we looked for shells and paddled. Like a holiday
