Begonia

I have gotten a Begonia basket every summer in my monthly baskets, for several years now and had absolutely no success with getting them to grow.

This year I decided I needed to spend some time doing some research and finding out why I was having problems and what I needed to do to be successful this time.

Come to find out that Begonias are very sensitive to salt and we have a water softener. With this Begonia all I’ve done different is not use our tap water but use bottled water and presto, the plant is coming along just fine.

This morning Kent & drove up to Hudson’s for him to get bags of salt for the water softener and for me to get food for the birds & squirrels.

Once home, I filled the bird and squirrel feeders and with the heat index at 10 am already 103°F , I was a sweaty mess and required a shower.

It was indoor activities for the rest of the day.
