Pictou County

My sister from New Brunswick was staying in Truro for a few days so I met her there this morning and we headed off to explore Pictou County. The main blip is a view from the provincial park in Greenhill. The first extra is a replica of the ship Hector, a sailing ship that brought many Scottish settlers to Nova Scotia. The second extra was taken at Waterside Provincial Park, and it is one of 2 beaches that we visited in the area.

I asked Nancy this morning if I was the reason that Susan decided not to join the family for supper last night and she said yes. Susan had called Sandra (our niece) and told her that she would not be coming. Then Nancy sent her a message and she called Nancy. When Nancy talks to someone on the phone, she puts it on speaker. Obviously Susan did not know that others could hear what she was saying. After the call ended, Sandra commented that it was a lot harsher than what she had said to her. I don't know what was said, but obviously nothing good about me. It showed what kind of person Susan actually is, that she could not and would not put our differences aside for a couple of hours and be there to support the family during their loss. My attitude when I went there yesterday was 'We don't have to be friends, we don't even have to speak to each other, but we can respect the other family members enough not to drag them into our problems'. I believe that I handled things the right way. Others will see what kind of person she really is.
