Cooling

The hummingbird feeder was empty which i know was because of evaporation in the heat as I just filled it last night.  So right after I filled it up with plain cold water this little Carolina wren decided it was the best place for a cooling dip.

I also put cold clean water in the regular bird bath but I think most of the birds are hanging out in the shade of the woods.   They have to be stressed out in this heat.  

I only went outside a couple of times today...to water the plants early this morning and a walk out to get the mail.    I will go out again at dusk to give the plants more water in hopes that some will survive.
