Railway Bridge Textures
So today was Car MOT and Service day ... the flexible friend was already trembling!
I dropped the car off at the garage by 8:30 and headed to the nearby superstores for a browse (I may have bought a few items on the way), coffee and something for lunch. I then walked to Shepherd Meadows and spent the the next few hours or so wandering along the river before eating the aforementioned lunch. The garage phoned as I was finishing to say the car was ready for pickup, all work done and MOT passed - phew! It started to rain just after I got back to the garage; what good timing, and even the flexible friend was happy as the bill was less than budgeted for.
My image was taken on the bridge over the river and railway line. One has to marvel how lichen manages to grow on a metal structure, even though this specimen is rather dried out from the dry weather we have been experiencing. Still, it provides a nice textual image for today's Abstract Thursday challenge.
