Anti-slug

Tim and I did a bit of gardening today (Saturday).  Tim weeded around our new hedge, and we both then spread a load more composted bark, to try and prevent the weeds coming back (and to give the hedge more nutrients).  I also finally planted the dahlia tuber I got a while ago.  And then read that slugs and snails love the young shoots - so I gave them a nice extra hot chilli powder accompaniment.  Also dug up some self-seeded marigolds and planted them in one of our pots.

In the afternoon, Tim drove me down to the town, so I could go present shopping for my friend Lizzie.  It took me a while, and I mostly got quite little things, but I did build up quite a nice present for her :)  Tim kindly came and picked me up afterwards, too.
