We had another call with the doctor. We got an appointment for after our insurance is up but hopefully we can get another one earlier with a cancellation or something. Our advocate did an excellent job but good doctors are booked up. 

Maybe we’ll keep the same insurance company for the rest of this year with something called COBRA that has you continue your insurance but pay an enormous amount and go with something cheaper next year. 


I sent a personal thank you note to the nice man at the nice engineering company and he wrote back, “Remember you? You are unforgettable! You brought energy, creativity and insight to our work; those are the attributes needed to navigate this new era for international development.”


So that made my day awesome. 

Terma, a Danish company, is working with Ukrainian company Odd Systems, on an affordable air defense system to intercept enemy drones. 

Italy cancelled a classical music concert by high-profile Russian conductor Valero Georgie’s. Georgie’s refused to condemn Russia’s war and openly supports Putin. 

In May 2022, pianist Romanovsky performed in occupied Mariupol in front of a theater where hundreds of civilians were killed in a Russian air strike. Then he gave interviews to Russian state media. In response, London’s Royal College of Music suspended him from his teaching role. He lives in Italy and identifies as Russian. He was scheduled to perform on Aug 5 in Bologna. His event has been cancelled.
