Still Rockin'

It's a Long Way to Nun's Cross

After yesterday's debacle when I posted my entry for the Wide on Wednesday challenge a day early because I didn't know what day it was I wasn't going to get it wrong twice!

I'd arranged to meet my pal, John, for pint and a bite to eat in Princetown in the middle of the moor. Having had our meal and a catch up we went even deeper into the moor to Whiteworks which is the nearest place to park for the abandoned farm at Nun's Cross. From there it's still a fair walk up the Abbot's Way to the farm.

The theme for this week's Wide on Wednesday challenge is 'Long' and I think my efforts today put me on theme but just to add to that I backed off a bit to get a long view of the farmhouse with a little burst from the setting sun in the nearby tree. I've added the classic view of the farmhouse as an extra. Although the farm was abandoned many years ago (in the 1960s). It's had a little restoration and is now run as a bunkhouse for school's Duke of Edinburgh awards and such.

It was good to be out there although it was a little hazy and a bit chilly with a fair breeze blowing. I was glad I'd put my Rab in the car 'just in case'.
