Still Rockin'

Shaldon Bridge

It's the Wide on Wednesday challenge, hosted by BobsBlips and the theme today is 'Long'.  I went to Shaldon for a photograph of the bridge which is very long. By international or modern standards it's fairly puny. It was claimed at the time (1827) to be the longest wooden bridge in England with a length of 1,632 feet. That one collapsed in 1838 because it was riddled with shipworm.

This one's only been here since 1926 but I think it's right on theme for Long.

Edit: Bu**er, I've just realised it's only Tuesday today!
