Museums
Our last full day with the boys before they go home to Wapping tomorrow. We'd decided to have a quieter museum day, starting with the Oxford Bus and Morris Motors Museums at Long Hanborough. We'd seen them from the Kingham to Paddington train lots of times, and also chrispybox made a visit recently. Open on Wednesdays so we though why not.
In the event it was Joe's turn to feel a bit under the weather so he stayed home with his mum and we just took Rory. The buses were fun. It brought back a lot of memories being able to sit on some of the buses and coaches, upper decks as well as lower decks. There was a lot of dereliction on view too - the main blip has been tagged for the Derelict Week Challenge. A work in progress, or rather a work not actually started yet. A four shot panorama.
The extra is the more usual shot of Rory in front of the museum.
Before we left we had to sit on a bench on the Hanborough platform while the Worcester train came in. Rory loves trains!
After that we drove back to Witney for lunch, and a visit to The Witney & District Museum. More memories stirred there of my short stay with Early's Of Witney. We had time so we also had a look around the Witney Blanket Hall. More Early's memories there - second extra.
After a quick fish and chips tea I popped out the AGM of my second camera club. Just got back and the boys have only just gone to bed.
Update: tagged for Wide Wednesday too, it was Long Hanborough after all :-)
