Cam a cropper

Wet weather hit but by all accounts the UK has had a good run, so I will refrain from whingeing too vociferously. The skies were moody in the morning as I made my way up the River Cam to Berry and Helen’s for some coffee, blueberries and croissants. A wet journey to the railway station so I could get a train to London, although the ticket machine on the bus was broken, so the driver waved us all through resignedly. I’ll take dampness if I get a free bus ride.

In London I settled into digs for the next week, halfway between St Pancras station and Camden. It didn’t happen without being caught in another shower, but my mood was decent after being fairly successful at blocking out work during my break. A good location to be staying whilst I go back to work at our UK office and I’m all about using vacant student accommodation when visiting over summer as it’s much better priced than any hotel.
