A long pilgrim way
This is Winchester's St John's Street. For most of its life just a track, now a single track road, it has been here for a very long time. The building on the right is a 16th century Tudor house once used by Cromwell's soldiers during the English Civil War. The church on the left, St John's, is quite a bit older. It was built in the 12th Century and walking up it's the first (or down the last) church stopped at by pilgrims on the long, ancient Pilgrims' Way between Winchester at Canterbury. I therefore thought of it for today as Bob's subject for the WidWed challenge today is 'Long'. Thanks for hosting, Bob.
As my mouse seems to be feeling rather faint for some unknown reason, and may soon give up on me altogether, I'm going to leave the words there. Have a great evening, all xx
PS: Results for WFW will be in my journal tomorrow x
