Gatekeeper Butterfly (Pyronia tithonus)

There I was on something of a garden safari this morning busy photographing flowers in the garden when this Gatekeeper Butterfly AKA Hedge Brown (Pyronia tithonus) offered to become the star of the show! How could I refuse such an offer especially as I have never seen one of these butterflies in the garden before today.
