Clever pigeon
I read a small article a few days ago by David Attenborough who was saying that pigeons are such sociable and intelligent creatures that we should treat them with kindness, not as if they are a pest. This one was balancing on a water pipe and then leaning down far enough to drink the water dripping out below its feet. I wouldn't fancy trying that!
The 1763 lead trough is in the rose garden at Garsington where we saw Fidelio at the last night of the Festival. It was a pared back, harrowing production that was so relevant to the world today.
