CONVOLVULUS arvensis
Angus & I saw these TINY flowers in
a remote area of the park that I call
the Redwood Forest. I live at least
300 miles (483K) south of the favored home territory for this coastal tree; but this
allee of Redwood Trees seem to be
thriving in this quiet spot. Our hot,
Sunny Summers & dry, windy Winters are
the opposite of their ideal, for them.
We also saw these tiny flowers,
FIELD BINDWEED, that are growing
happily nearby. Low & behold, this
vining plant is considered to be
“a noxious, persistent, invasive
perennial weed,” by Penn State
University. I guess the rhizomes
can grow 6ft. (1.83meters) & choke
out other plants.
You may be familiar because it is a
common scourge in its native Europe
& Asia.
Maybe we should ask the TINY ant,
about the matter….
