I accompanied Mr A down to the station this morning to make sure he definitely left the premises, and then carried on to do a round of the Links, before popping in to the supermarket on the way home. I was super hot and sweaty when I got back. It really has been impossibly humid, although it didn't rain today, apart from a few spots. I had the dehumidifier running all day again.

I took my (academic) book over to Piper's to read whilst I had a coffee and a bacon roll, and lo and behold I was joined by A&N, who are both off work this week, but getting frustrated by the lack of progress on their renovations. It's N's birthday, so they popped out for a treat, ended up meeting me, and then invited me round this evening to help out eating N's birthday tea (paneer curry - truly tasty) and an excellent coconut and worcesterberry cake (no, me neither, but they were also tasty and the cake was delicious). I left them watching the England semi-final, and brought my three bags of woodchip (which was the original reason for popping round to theirs) home. They are still in the boot of the car, I will move them tomorrow.
