Portmeirion

MONDAY

Our last day of this short break, and time to head home.

On the way, we stopped for lunch and a wander around the picturesque village of Portmeirion. Designed in the style of an Italian village by architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1973, it's known for its colourful buildings, lush gardens, and stunning coastal views.

The last time I visited was with my parents in the 1960s—back when the village was used as the filming location for the cult TV series The Prisoner.
