Monday...

Last Friday I booked a cottage in Bempton at short notice. I've stayed here before and it's lovely. The weather looked great (that's changed a bit) and so here I am. After a traffic filled journey, I put my stuff in the cottage, had lunch and went down to the cliffs. The rain started, but no matter. I love it here and I just love watching what goes on.

I spotted a fin in the distance - was it a fin I thought? Or was it my imagination? 

It was a minke whale - 2 in fact. The gannets had been diving for fish close to the cliffs (extra) and the minkes were helping themselves.

I love watching diving gannets!
