(199) Last Orders

It's our last day of our holidays and it's been a day of variety. I got out on the bike in the morning and narrowly escaped a soaking when the heavens opened and a thunderstorm passed overhead. Fortunately, I was able to shelter until the rain had passed otherwise I'd have been soaked through. Mrs. Rockit went for a run in the opposite direction and didn't see a drop of rain. By the afternoon the sky had cleared and the sun reappeared making for a very warm evening. We walked in to town for a fish tea at Hadley's, which was well up to scratch. Last stop was round to the Green Dragon for a couple of beers before heading back up the road. They have a canning machine so I took away a 300ml of Vault City 'Dips &  Pieces', a 13% chocolate, peanut butter pretzel stout which is fabulous stuff. All in all, it's been a great end to a very enjoyable holiday.

First extra is a view from the passing of the thunderstorm at Whitby Sands. Second extra shows the row of beach huts which, unsurprisingly, were not being used in the morning. Last extra is a view of the inner harbour when the sunshine reappeared
